“Once A Woman”, a feature by “Jalil Akbari Sehat” which is distributing by “Soureh Cinema Org.” attended in Mena Film Festival in the Netherlands.

 Mena Film Festival presents a contemporary image of the cultural, political, social, and artistic situation in the Middle East and North Africa. This year the theme of the festival is FREEDOM from two aspects: personal identity freedom and common freedom in our environment and common freedom during wartime, which is related to the 75th freedom anniversary in the Netherlands. 

“Once A Woman” is about Homa Shaker who is challenging a fatal disease, has not heard about his brother, Arash for a long time. Arash has gone to Kenya for his dreams.  Homa starts her bag pack travel by bike from France and goes to the locations that Arash was there to find a sign from him. She finds a new cognition of life in this searching.

This year the festival held online 11th to 13th of June because of COVID 19.
